I feel as though this book screams single book, but they decided to go with a series instead. I would have been fine if they had known for certain by the end of the book, but they didn't. The whole I-Don't-Know-What's-Happining-But-I'm-Going-To-Find-Out plot line can be done well, but in this case, it left me feeling dissatisfied. My only complaint? The issue of who the bad guys were and why they were bad was a bit of a mystery with a different answer every page. I liked the characters and the book threw you straight into the story. The plot line was interesting, engaging, and all together relatively quick. While this was not as fantastic, I would think of it as slightly above the average book.
